Salem Trip
By Henry Weinberg ‘16
A group of
students from Lesley University’s Threshold Program went on a trip to Salem, Massachusetts
on Sunday, November 1, 2015. It is one of the oldest towns in Massachusetts:
established in 1626. Once we got there we went to a performance at Gallows Hill
called the Witchcraft and Ghost Experience Show.
It’s an
incredible mix of special effects, actors, costumes, and story-
telling,
diversions, exhilarating surprises and jump scares blended
with Historical
facts about the Salem Witch Trials, ghosts and local
legends.
The Witchcraft and Ghost Experience is interactive, exciting,
surprising, and immersive.
There were a lot of mixed emotions from the students during
and after the show. After the show, two actors came out from backstage, but
because there were many things going on in the show, you would have thought
there were more than two actors. The students got a chance after lunch to go
shopping at the stores and purchase some unique things that are only sold in
Salem. This is definitely a trip that the Threshold students will want to do
annually.
